Simple WhatsApp Tips, Tricks & Hacks

Hey guys, so today we'll be discussing some of the amazing WhatsApp tips, tricks & hacks that will make you a messaging expert. This article will not contain only one trick but a compilation of awesome tricks. Here we go:

1) Sending Photo in its original size:

As we all have experienced that WhatsApp reduces the image size and therefore the quality. If it a photo of a document with small font, it becomes hard to read it. However you can send image in its original size by sending it as a document.

Now on the right of the messaging box we have an attachment icon (paper pin), tap on it and select document and now you can browse your image to be sent, it'll be sent in its original size.

2) Hide the blue ticks:

By using this feature you can ignore someone without letting them know, which is really important at times(why should girls have all the fun 😆). To do this follow the steps:

1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Turn off the Read receipts.

4) Hide your last seen:

Again ignoring someone is made more subtle by using this feature. To hide your last follow the steps:

1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Tap on last seen.
3. Select between Everyone, My contacts and Nobody.

At the starting you might feel using WhatsApp without using the last seen a bit awkward, but trust me you'll get used to it real soon.

5) Restrict your status to some people:

This can be really useful as sometimes people force us to put on some status in some challenge sort of thing (Am I the only one who hates those type of messages? Do tell in the comments). Now you can just restrict our status to people of your choice. Just follow the steps given below:

1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Tap on status.
3. Now you can select between My contacts, My contacts except (the one you hate) or only share with...

6) Use bold, italics and more:

You can make your message look cool, or highlight a particular message in your message easily.

1. For Bold: To bold a sentence you need to put an asterisk on both the sides. For eg: If you want to bold GodTrickz in your  message write like: *GodTrickz* . Give it a shot.
2. For Italics: You need to put an underscore on the either side of the word to do this. For example: _GodTrickz_ will come out as GodTrickz.
3. For strike through: You need to put a tilde sign for this. For example: ~TikTok~ will come out as TikTok. (I'll have to sanitize my blog now).

You can also combine two commands. For example: *_GodTrickz_* will come out as GodTrickz.

7) Enable Dark mode:

Mant of the android users already know about the dark mode. Now, WhatsApp has also rolled out this feature.

Just follow these simple steps to enable dark mode in WhatsApp:

1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
2. Open Settings→ Chats→ Theme→ Tap on theme, it is by default light.
3. Now you can select between light mode and dark mode.
