Hey guys, so today we'll be discussing some of the amazing WhatsApp tips, tricks & hacks that will make you a messaging expert. This article will not contain only one trick but a compilation of awesome tricks. Here we go:

1) Sending Photo in its original size:

As we all have experienced that WhatsApp reduces the image size and therefore the quality. If it a photo of a document with small font, it becomes hard to read it. However you can send image in its original size by sending it as a document.
Now on the right of the messaging box we have an attachment icon (paper pin), tap on it and select document and now you can browse your image to be sent, it'll be sent in its original size.

2) Hide the blue ticks:

By using this feature you can ignore someone without letting them know, which is really important at times(why should girls have all the fun 😆). To do this follow the steps:
  1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
  2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Turn off the Read receipts.

4) Hide your last seen:

Again ignoring someone is made more subtle by using this feature. To hide your last follow the steps:
  1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
  2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Tap on last seen.
  3. Select between Everyone, My contacts and Nobody.
At the starting you might feel using WhatsApp without using the last seen a bit awkward, but trust me you'll get used to it real soon. 

5) Restrict your status to some people:

This can be really useful as sometimes people force us to put on some status in some challenge sort of thing (Am I the only one who hates those type of messages? Do tell in the comments). Now you can just restrict our status to people of your choice. Just follow the steps given below:
  1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
  2. Open Settings→ Account→ Privacy→ Tap on status.
  3. Now you can select between My contacts, My contacts except (the one you hate) or only share with...

6) Use bold, italics and more:

You can make your message look cool, or highlight a particular message in your message easily.
  1. For Bold: To bold a sentence you need to put an asterisk on both the sides. For eg: If you want to bold GodTrickz in your  message write like: *GodTrickz* . Give it a shot.
  2. For Italics: You need to put an underscore on the either side of the word to do this. For example: _GodTrickz_ will come out as GodTrickz.
  3. For strike through: You need to put a tilde sign for this. For example: ~TikTok~ will come out as TikTok. (I'll have to sanitize my blog now).
You can also combine two commands. For example: *_GodTrickz_* will come out as GodTrickz.

7) Enable Dark mode:

Mant of the android users already know about the dark mode. Now, WhatsApp has also rolled out this feature.
Just follow these simple steps to enable dark mode in WhatsApp:
  1. Click on the three dots on the right top.
  2. Open Settings→ Chats→ Theme→ Tap on theme, it is by default light.
  3. Now you can select between light mode and dark mode.

Screen pinning is a feature of android mobiles that many people don't know. It is really useful when you give your phone to someone else for showing them contents of a app but you worry that they will open some other app and therefore hinder your privacy. Also it can be used by parents while giving mobile to their children for study purposes, so that any other app cannot be opened. Android developers made a escape to this situation by giving out the screen pinning feature. By enabling this feature you can pin a particular app and till the app is pinned all the other functions(except incoming call and emergency outgoing) of the mobile will be locked. This feaature comes in all android devices running on Android 5.0 or above. The included screenshots are of Android 9 pie.
We'll guide you to do it in just simple steps.

1)For Samsung, Motorola, Stock Android Devices:

It is really easy to enable screen pinning in these devices. just follow the below given steps:
  • Go to: Settings→Security→Other security settings→Pin window.
Now enable the setting and read the instructions(may differ on different mobiles) on how to unpin an pinned app. To pin an app, go to recents and you'll find a pin icon on the first app, click on that pin icon to pin the app.

2)For Android Devices running on MIUI:

In MIUI the screen pinning feature is not available in the settings but since every android has this feature, Mi devices must also have it. This trick works for MIUI 11 also and the preceding versions as well. To enable screen pinning in Mi devices follow the steps given below:
  1. Download the SetEdit(Settings Database Editor) app by 4A and open it. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by4a.setedit22
      
  2. Tap on +Add new setting.
  3. There write: lock_to_app_enabled . Write exactly like this and tap on save changes.
      
  4. Now it will ask for input value set it to: 1 and again tap on save changes.
  5. Now you can pin your apps from recents.
You can pin the apps by clicking on the pin icon, and unpin by pressing the home button and power button simultaneously.
If you, for some reason, dislike the feature and want to turn it off you can repeat the same above steps but in fourth step set the value to be 0.

Important: 
  1. This feature will not work if you're using full screen mode. You must have the recents and the home button to use this feature.
  2. Please perform these steps carefully and don't mess up with other settings of the mobile. The team of God-Trickz will not be responsible if you write anything wrong in the database editor and it messes up your other settings. This message is not to scare you but a reminder to use the database editor carefully.

Although Xiaomi being the #1 smartphone brand in India, it does not care much about the user experience. If we're not getting the phone for free, then why the advertisements.
It irritates me whenever a see an ad on various pre-loaded apps even with the MIUI 11.
Fortunately, there is a method by which we can easily remove ads from our from our Xiaomi/Redmi/Mi devices.

How to Disable msa and Personalized Ad Recommendations in MIUI 11:

MSA stands for “MIUI System Ads”, therefore killing this would no longer send your data for personalization for ads. Mi has tried really hard to ensure that you don't disable this service. You'll require to try it atleast 5-6 times.

Make sure your phone is connected to the internet, you can't revoke msa while you're offline.

  1. Go to: Settings → Passwords & security → Authorization & revocation → turn msa off.
  2. Now wait for 10 seconds before clicking on revoke.
    Remove Redmi ads
  3. It will not turn off at once, but you'll have to try for atleast 5 times.
  4. To turn off Ad services go to: Settings → Passwords & security → Privacy → Turn off the User Experience Program & Send diagnostic data automatically → Ad services → Turn off the Personalized ad recommendations.


How to remove ads from cleaner in MIUI 11:

  1. Open cleaner
  2. Tap on the settings icon on right top.
  3. Scroll down to Receive recommendations and turn it off.
  4. Also turn off the Load using only Wi-Fi tab.

How to remove ads from File Manager in MIUI 11:

  1. Open file manager.
  2. Tap on the three lines on left top.
  3. Open settings.
  4. Go to About.
  5. Turn off  Recommendations.

How to remove ads from Mi Video in MIUI 11:

  1. Open Mi video.
  2. Tap on the profile in right bottom.
  3. Open settings.
  4. Turn off the Push Notifications, Online recommendations and Personalized recommendations.

We usually come across statuses which we really like and would like to download it in order to share it or put it as status. While dealing with photos we usually take screenshots (it actually decreases the image quality) but what to do in case of a video status? Let's find out in this blog.

We will look upon two different ways to do the same. First, by using a dedicated application and second, saving it manually.

1.Save status files manually (using File Manager)

WhatsApp application saves the status files (photos as well as videos) locally on the phone, which are usually in the form of hidden files. But these are stored as cache and so are automatically erased after one day. So, what we will do is copy them out of the hidden folder and save them to another location. Here’s how to do it:

Note: You will need a File Manager app to perform this step. If you don't have it on your phone then jump to step 2 immediately.
  1. Open the File Manager app
  2. Enable “show hidden files”. How? you need to open the settings of your file manager and set it to show hidden files. 
  3. Navigate to the WhatsApp folder –  Internal storage > WhatsApp > Media > .Statuses.
  4. Copy the file which you want to save.
  5. Paste them into a folder which you can make before copying.
  6. Bravo!
