How to Save & Share WhatsApp Status

We usually come across statuses which we really like and would like to download it in order to share it or put it as status. While dealing with photos we usually take screenshots (it actually decreases the image quality) but what to do in case of a video status? Let's find out in this blog.

We will look upon two different ways to do the same. First, by using a dedicated application and second, saving it manually.

1.Save status files manually (using File Manager)

WhatsApp application saves the status files (photos as well as videos) locally on the phone, which are usually in the form of hidden files. But these are stored as cache and so are automatically erased after one day. So, what we will do is copy them out of the hidden folder and save them to another location. Here’s how to do it:

Note: You will need a File Manager app to perform this step. If you don't have it on your phone then jump to step 2 immediately.

1. Open the File Manager app
2. Enable “show hidden files”. How? you need to open the settings of your file manager and set it to show hidden files. 
3. Navigate to the WhatsApp folder –  Internal storage > WhatsApp > Media > .Statuses.
4. Copy the file which you want to save.
5. Paste them into a folder which you can make before copying.
6. Bravo! 

2.Save statuses using a dedicated application

Well if your phone has way too much free space you can utilize it by installing an third party application which will download the status for you therefore reducing the effort.

You can find a plenty of applications for this work. Just open Play store on your mobile and search for WhatsApp status download.

Now my personal suggestion would be to use the first method because it is not so complicated and second you will not need to download an extra application and give it permission to access to your files on mobile which reduces the system stability and put your privacy on risk.
